17 graduate from "recovering ..." to "Recovered!"
Too many "support groups"
focus too much attention on problems and not enough attention on
solutions! Often people around us have a vested
interest in what we do or they have the same problems we do, so
they may not be good support for our new direction in life.
After all, if people around you were truly supporting all your
goals, dreams and desires, you'd already have whatever you wish
to have, to do and to be!
While the process of "recovering"
may hold fascination for some, actually being "recovered"
takes less than one minute! Then you can do something more
useful with your Life, like teaching others how to be "recovered"
by completely and permanently removing the source of their
problems in less than one minute!
Eliminate any ADDICTION in less than one minute!
Addictions are one of our most serious problems. Based on current information, you can become addicted to almost anything: coffee, tea, alcohol, tobacco, other legal and illegal drugs, food, gambling, television, sex, work, exercise, the Internet and more. Have you considered the typical course of these "diseases," alcoholism, for example?
1) Acknowledge your desire for alcohol.
2) Verify you have money for your alcohol.
3) Dress appropriately for being in public.
4) Locate your car keys.
5) Leave your home.
6) Open your car door.
7) Get into your car.
8) Fasten your seat belt.
9) Start your car.
10) Drive to the liquor store.
11) Stop your car.
12) Release your seat belt.
13) Open your car door.
14) Get out of your car.
15) Lock your car door.
16) Enter the liquor store.
17) Select your alcohol.
18) Take your alcohol to the cashier.
19) Give your money to the cashier.
20) Leave the liquor store with your alcohol.
21) Open your car door.
22) Get into your car with your alcohol.
23) Fasten your seat belt.
24) Start your car.
25) Drive back home with your alcohol.
26) Stop your car.
27) Release your seat belt.
28) Open your car door.
29) Get out of your car with your alcohol.
30) Lock your car door.
31) Enter your home with your alcohol.
32) Find a glass for your alcohol.
33) Remove your alcohol from the bag.
34) Break the seal on your alcohol bottle.
35) Remove the cap from your alcohol bottle.
36) Pour your alcohol into the glass.
37) Pour your alcohol from the glass into your mouth.
38) Swallow your alcohol.
39) Allow your body to absorb and process your alcohol.
40) Repeat Steps 36 through 39, and Steps 2 through 39 if
necessary, until your ability to function effectively becomes
impaired.
Since you could take different action at
any one of these forty steps (for example, to not proceed any
further), addiction is really about making personal choices,
rather than being overcome by some unknown external force.
Certainly your choices are strongly influenced by seemingly
invisible forces, but you do have a choice at each step
along the way.
In fact, there was actually some point in
your life when you were not an alcoholic; in other words, you
haven't always been an alcoholic. So, why would you become
an alcoholic? Well, just like every dysfunctional
behavior, you made the choice to begin it at some point in
time, at some point in your life! Contrary to your Inner Guidance (in other words,
you violated your Inner Guidance),
you may have used alcohol to "forget" some emotional
trauma or you may have begun drinking to be "one of the
gang."
The original violation of your Inner Guidance is the
beginning of every addiction on this planet; this is an
important relation and you may need an experience to truly
believe it. Fortunately, you will have an opportunity to
experience eliminating any addiction when you learn the WIN-R process. To remake
that dysfunctional decision, you simply go back to the
time when you first made the decision to violate your Inner Guidance and make a new,
empowering decision. And you make that new decision using Step 1) of the WIN-R process. It's
really that simple!
